Robert Meters is Director of Global Business at SCHUMANN. He studied Business Administration and International Management at the University for Economics and Management in Düsseldorf and Essen. He has been in the credit risk management industry since 1993 and has worked for leading information service providers as well as in the telecommunications industry.

He advises and takes care of customers in the automation of credit risk management for the financial services sector with excellent references in leasing, factoring, banking and trade credit insurance.

An experienced professional with a proven track record within the insurance industry as well as trade finance and general credit. Jay is tenacious, driven and personable with the ability to develop relationships quickly.

His analytical skills combined with his pragmatic approach has led to have a highly successful career within the insurance industry, as well as with leading trade associations such as ITFA.

As Head of Sales Credit & Surety at SCHUMANN Lara Biermann is advising and supporting international credit risk insurer and surety bond provider in digitizing and automating their risk and business process management.

She studied business administration focused on finance, accounting and taxes and supervises international credit and surety insurance companies while implementing CAM Credit & Surety.

As a product owner, the studied business administrator is responsible for the development of the standard software CAM Surety. With their work, she and her team, design the software to sustain the processes in your daily business and proactively involve you as a driving force – with focus on our product to enable success!

Phil has over 30 years’ experience in Credit, Surety & Political Risk, with unrivalled knowledge and experience of the business and broking the largest mono- and multi-line cedants in this field.

He began his career at UK reinsurer Mercantile & General and was a founding member of the credit, bond and political risk team in 1988. His previous roles include establishing Ace Guaranty Re’s European operation in London, and a two-year spell at Atradius, as a founding member of its Special Products team. He joined Benfield in 2006 – later acquired by Aon – as global leader of the trade credit and financial risk team and will join TigerRisk in June 2022 to head up the new London-based Financial Risks reinsurance broking team and bring his technical and commercial leadership to the company’s expanding client base.

As a Product Owner, the studied business administrator is responsible for the product CAM Credit in the department Credit & Surety at SCHUMANN.

Ewa has over 30 years of experience in credit, structured credit, political risk and surety classes, across broking and underwriting in the insurance and reinsurance segments. Having started her career as a broker at the Credit Insurance Association in 1990, she subsequently worked at Sedgwick (now Marsh) and Aon.

In 1999 she moved into trade credit underwriting, initially at Amlin, then spearheading the establishment of two trade credit underwriting divisions, first at ACE Global Markets (now Chubb) in 2000 and then at Markel in 2010. In 2020 joined Aon Re as Managing Director of Credit and Financial Risks treaty reinsurance team, bringing experience of direct business to the reinsurance operation.

Ewa joined Bondaval in February 2024 as the Group Chief Underwriting Officer, focusing on the long-term underwriting strategy and helping to bring the application of cutting-edge technology into the trade credit and surety markets.

Mike is an innovative, entrepreneurial Chartered Director with a strong track record of creating and growing businesses across Europe, USA and emerging markets.

Mike has 39 years’ experience in trade credit and political risk insurance, as well as in trade finance. He has been at the forefront of innovation in the industry and has been active in the Dutch and German markets as well as the UK and the US. He was a founder and CEO of trade credit insurer Equinox Global Limited.

Mike’s recent activities include being a director at Nexus Trade Credit, a consultant at Charles Taylor Adjusting, a director of a motor insurance MGA; providing advice to the Irish Government on credit insurance, and acting as Deputy Chair of the London Handel Festival (of classical music).

Mike recently became a Chartered Director after studying with the Irish Institute of Directors.
