Growth in the Board of Directors
On 1st January 2023 the longstanding employees Evgeny Kulyushin and Jan-Torben Schwager were appointed as Managing Directors of Prof. Schumann GmbH. Dr. Martina Städtler-Schumann will continue as the Chair of the Board of Directors. The Göttingen-based software company is thus positioning itself for continuing growth.
Since its foundation in 1997, SCHUMANN has developed constantly and today, with around 200 employees, it is considered to be the market leader for credit management software in a wide range of industries. The enormous growth, especially in the last five years, now makes it necessary to broaden the management of the business even further. The declared aim is to strengthen the company for the future and to continue to push forward the expansion strategy.
"I am very pleased that with Evgeny Kulyushin and Jan-Torben Schwager we have been able to appoint two experienced managers from our own ranks as Managing Directors. They have the necessary expertise and will make it possible for us to position ourselves even closer to the market and to our customers", explained CEO Dr. Martina Städtler-Schumann. She will continue as the Chair of the Board of Directors.
New Managing Director Evgeny Kulyushin (42) has been at the company since 2006 and has had various areas of responsibility over the years. Up to now he has been responsible for the management of Sales and Marketing and in the future he will also be responsible for the development of the market sector Credit & Surety. "SCHUMANN has developed to become the European market leader for credit insurers and providers of surety bonds in recent years. Almost all credit insurance companies and surety bond providers in Germany are now our business partners. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of untapped potential for new digitalization projects, especially in other European countries. I am very pleased that I will be able to contribute to the continuation of the company's successful development in the future", said Evgeny Kulyushin.
In his new function as Managing Director, Jan-Torben Schwager (37) will be responsible for the further development of the market sectors Industry & Trade and Financial Services. He has many years of consulting, project leadership and management experience and was also already part of the company's management team. He commented: "I have been part of the company for more than 16 years and am looking forward to developing it further in this responsible position, pushing forward innovations and shaping the future of digital credit risk management."

As Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Martina Hammer manages the organization and coordination of the marketing team.
She studied media and communication sciences and has been responsible for national and international press and corporate communications at SCHUMANN.
